Following the release of Gentle Winds and Gentle Strings, we collaborated with some of the finest British brass players from the heart of the traditional brass music scene in the North of England.
These players were captured playing at their softest dynamics, creating a warm, gentle texture. Each instrument – euphonium, tenor horn, flugelhorn, cornet and soprano cornet – was recorded individually and then assembled into a seamless ensemble patch.
Performed in the grand hall of The Nave, this library offers three mic positions, and like previous libraries in our Gentle series, it contains an atmospheric layer – a processed version of the raw samples that expands the sonic capabilities of the instruments, making them suitable for a wide range of musical applications.
