Welcome to Cartoon Maestro! This Kontakt library has been carefully designed to meet the needs of those who want to score cartoons or comedy series, offering a collection of unique solo instruments and articulations specifically designed for animation projects and films.
In creating this library, our goal was to capture the essence and variety of scores from what is often considered the golden age of animation. We carefully studied and re-recorded scores from farce to more sophisticated compositions found in modern works in order to understand and recreate the unique sounds and effects achievable with traditional orchestral instruments.
Our journey included extensive research and numerous recording sessions to try out a wide range of articulations and capture the nuances needed to voice the various scenes in the cartoons. The library contains materials interpreting various animation scenarios, available both as articulations and as individual WAV files for easy integration into any DAW or video program.
Inside the library you will find 20 orchestral solo instruments: flute, piccolo, clarinet, bassoon, violin, trumpet, trombone, tuba, double bass, harp, steel guitar, vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, timpani, bass drum, snare drum, cymbals, percussion, each with a variety of articulations, including varied parts, deeply sampled staccato and other unconventional sounds. A series of 28 ensemble patches designed to reproduce important moments in the cartoon genre, such as chases or scenes with collisions and flights.
We have identified over 28 distinctive musical moments, each represented by different combinations of instruments and melodies, offering many ways to soundtrack different scenarios. The system is completely MIDI-based, allowing for realistic and multifaceted interactions between phrases.
