The dream machine of the 80s was out of reach for most people. Used by countless great artists including Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Kate Bush, Herbie Hancock, Jean Michel Jarre, Thomas Dolby and many more, it remains a highly prized and sought after instrument.
In what is often our worst case, a fit of nostalgia, we set out to create a new instrument inspired by this legendary studio icon, and ended up creating three: a digital synthesizer, a digital drum machine and a multi-phrase player.
Each instrument has its own unique features and personality, suited to different applications, all with the original machine’s distinctive character.
The result is a hugely fun and flexible set of tools that breathes new life into classic sounds and takes these old voices into new sonic territory.
